Take the leap Yoga challenge: day 13

So today may be Valentine’s Day, but more important it is the 13th day in my yoga challenge. I haven’t been posting photos of poses anymore for this challenge. I am still very new to yoga, and I found that doing the poses, practicing, and more every day is challenge enough without trying to take photos of yourself!

So until I get better at it I am just holding off. I still continue to enjoy this challenge, though. I really like the practice program I have, and I have also met some really awesome people from this challenge! It didn’t occur to be that might be a side effect, but it feels really refreshing and good. Everyone who I have talked to who also does the challenge is very nice, encouraging, and inspiring!

I thought I would post every day for this challenge, and then I realized what a challenge in and of itself that was! So unfortunately folks, that might not happen. I will try to be more consistent if I can, but with how big my to do list is the most important things is that I’m doing the challenge, whether or not I share it digitally.

For me, the biggest challenge when it comes to yoga is learning. Taking the Leap with prAna and Sweat Pink is a great way for me to find commitment.

My favorite place to yoga is my bedroom because it is so convenient.

Here’s a photo of me doing my best to try to snap a plank. I’m using my Macbook’s photobooth to do this, since I couldn’t find my camera currently. Unfortunately, it gives you 3 seconds for the shot, and considering how new I am, that was not enough time to get in any pose! I barely even could get one of a plank (which is so simple). I will make sure to find my camera before the start of the challenge, however!

If I win I would gift the $500 to Kelly (the one in PINK), because she is only 4’9″, 95 pounds, and a ninja (does jiu jitsu, gym, gym classes including yoga)! 

Kelly and I met each other in jiu jitsu years ago, and she has become one of my best friends. It just goes to show the people you can meet by going out and doing things.
